Return to the blog...

Not sure where to begin since the last blogging but here we go...

Jon and Sue came in to town for Easter and a visit, which was a blast. The kids loved hunting for eggs in the years, and have really enjoyed eating the candy out of them!!

Eric and I just got back from a cruise to the Caribbean. IT was a blast, but I really missed the kids and were so excited to return! We visited Tulum in Cozumel, Mexico, cave tubing in Belize, Isle Rotan, Honduras with a catamaran/snorkeling adventure, and a fun day of shopping and sight seeing in Grand Cayman. We really enjoyed the quite time we got to spend together. We arrived back home to an exhausted Grandma (THANK YOU mom and dad!!) and Joey, our roommate for a month.

We enjoyed great food every night! Getting to dress up and sit and eat was a huge treat! We also met a wonderful couple, Mike and Joy, who we were able to enjoy talking to over dinner on a nightly basis.
I also had a blast running to the room at night to see what little "guest" the staff had left for us!

I have lots more to come, just need more time! We have an exciting weekend planned with a trip to see mom, the Snellville Days festival with Joey, and hopefully strawberry picking!

Martin turns 3!!

I can't believe my first born is 3! Probably doesn't seem like such a milestone for some but time is just flying by! We had a lovely long weekend with Eric's parents. They arrives Thurs am and had a great time with the kids. Eric's sister joined us from Michigan as well on Saturday, which was a really special treat as we don't see her that often. My parents were able to come by as well on Sunday to enjoy some cake and presents.

I loves seeing him get excited about the presents!! He kept saying OOO and AWW when he would open something. He also knew just what to do for the cake and blew each candle out quickly before asking for a piece.

Wrap up--part 2

We celebrate with Eric's parents and Grandma the week after Christmas, which was a nice way to continue the holiday. The kids got a bike (Martin) and a car (Grace). We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed having Grandma here! She turns 90 in January and was still on the floor playing with the kids!!

Christmas wrap up--part 1

Well Christmas has come and gone. WE were blessed to celebrate with my family and Eric's family. My parents came down to see us for Christmas Eve and day, which enabled us to catch up with my dear friend Julia who was in town over the holidays. WE had a wonderful time watching Martin open his gifts (and get excited about them!!) Grace still loved the boxes more, but enjoyed her new things.

Family Christmas

We were so blessed to have a wonderful family Christmas last weekend with my parents and siblings at my parents house in SC. It started Friday when we arrived with Tim and Lauren, who flew in from Chicago the night before. Grandpa showed Martin how to chop firewood while mom and Grace played outside. Joe and Crystal arrived later that evening, followed by Beth and her family and Chris and Samantha the next day. We enjoyed great food, lots of presents, and wonderful company!! We are so blessed to have such a large family that enjoys being together!! 10 adults and 7 kids in the house for the weekend!! What a wonderful way to enjoy the holidays!

Oh crooked tree...

Our decorations are out now and the stockings are hung--all we need is Santa!! The kids had a great time visiting Santa. No tears--just a squirmy Grace. Martin loved Santa and sat on his lap answering yes to every question he was asked!!

Well, today we ventured out in to the cold with a two year old and a sick one year old to pick out the perfect Christmas tree. It was full and looked beautiful on the lot, although we did look very quickly so as to get Grace back into the car. Well once we put it up at the house, it was a different story. The tree trunk was very bent!! After an hour or so of messing with the stand and tree, this is the final product--a crooked tree!! Oh well, the kids still had fun decorating it!!
